Use Sodium Lactate to make your Cold Process Soap bars hard and smooth!

Because Sodium Lactate is a salt, it is a natural humectant, providing moisture. Use Sodium Lactate to make your Cold Process Soap bars hard and smooth. Sodium lactate also makes cold process soap easy to unmold!

Popular choice for Soap Making!
Sodium Lactate is a popular choice for making soap because it produces a harder bar of soap that lasts longer. When making cold process soap, add Sodium Lactate to the water phase (after the lye solution has cooled). Recommended use is 1% and up to 4%.

Great for Lotions!
Sodium lactate can also be used in lotions to create a thicker, more hydrating product. Sodium lactate is used to create a creamier texture. The humectant properties of sodium lactate keeps skin moisturized longer.

Substitute for Glycerin in Soap Making!
Sodium Lactate is a superior humectant moisturizer with over twice the water holding ability than Glycerin. Using sodium lactate instead of vegetable glycerin will give you a final product that lacks the stickiness that usually occurs when using vegetable glycerin in a lotion recipe.
